Founders Garden

The Founders Garden commemorates the three founding members of TREE House of Greater St. Louis (TH), formerly known as Therapeutic Horsemanship. TH was founded by Susie Duesinger, Sandy Rafferty, and Laura Carpenter Balding. They began the program in 1975 because they believed in the benefit of equine-assisted therapy for children with disabilities. Now 40 years later, the organization provides Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy as well as Adaptive Therapeutic Riding to thousands of individuals of all ages and all abilities.

The Founders Garden allows clients, family, friends, and corporations to become part of history “one brick at a time.” Each brick will have its very own story to tell and will make an everlasting impression in the Founders Garden.
